UEFA Champions League 2017: Group Stage Draw

On Thursday the Champions League Draw took place for the Group Stage. Leicester City will be happy with their draw with Porto looking like the main danger in their group. The only issue I can for them is whether they will have the squad to cope with midweek European matches as well as domestic matches.
Arsenal have a fairly tough draw having been put in the same group as French Champions PSG and Basel although they should be looking to qualify from that group.

Pep Guardiola will be visiting his old club when Manchester City play Barcelona. This group is one that stands out for me with Celtic also being in this group. It’s going to be a hard group I feel as the German side Monchengladbach are also in fine form so it will be a good test for Manchester City after the money they have spent in the transfer window. They will do well to win this group and I feel it’s not out of reach but they will settle for second place.

Tottenham will also be happy with their draw. After being in Pot 3 they have avoided some really big teams. CSKA Moscow will be a tough one for Tottenham as It appears many teams struggle with travelling to Russia with the weather, time zones and artificial pitches. I can see their home form playing a big part in helping them qualify.
