Darts: Phil Taylor to play his last year on PDC Circuit

The first competition of the 2017 PDC Circuit, The Masters, got under way yesterday. It consists of only the top 16 players in the world and before Phil Taylor was due to go on stage, he announced that this was going to be his last year playing on the PDC Circuit.

It all started back in the 90s when Phil Taylor started to dominate the sport and win tournament after tournament. No one could match Taylor’s ability on the dart board. His scoring was superb and his finishing was world class.

Phil Taylor has won 16 World Championship titles across the BDO and PDC . From me, no one will ever match what he has achieved in the world of darts. From 9 darters to numerous titles, he is clearly dominated the sport for a number of years and should rightly be regarded as the world’s greatest ever player.
